Captain V. Lakshmikantha Rao is an Indian Air Force veteran and a celebrated hero of the 1965 Indo-Pak War. Born in 1933, he was commissioned as a fighter pilot into the IAF in 1954 and rose to become one of its most decorated officers over his illustrious career spanning four decades. He was awarded several awards for valour including the Vir Chakra, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Vayu Sena Medal (VM).

During the 1965 war with Pakistan, Captain Rao distinguished himself by leading successful missions against enemy targets deep inside Pakistani territory from airbases at Pathankot & Adampur despite heavy anti-aircraft fire from ground forces. His daring actions earned him many accolades, including being mentioned in despatches for bravery on two occasions during this conflict. He flew more than 100 sorties across hostile airspace without any damage to his aircraft or injury to himself or crew members under his command.

In 1975, after 21 years of service with the IAF, Captain Rao retired as Wing Commander with numerous honours including the VM & AVSM, along with commendations from both President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed & Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, which were personally presented at Rashtrapati Bhavan. His story has been documented extensively in books like ‘The Story Of An Air Warrior’ written by Squadron Leader J K Bhatia who served alongside him during their time flying combat missions against Pakistani forces along India's western borderlands.

Apart from his military service, Captain Rao also made significant contributions towards civil society initiatives post-retirement. He set up schools and colleges providing quality education, especially in rural areas which had limited access due to a lack of resources or awareness about the importance of education. He helped bridge the gap between urban centres with better facilities and those in rural areas, raising standards and improving lives overall.

In addition to his outstanding achievements, Captain V. Lakshmikantha Rao is also an active member of the Brahmin community. He serves as the Honorable President of ABOPA, a community organisation dedicated to the welfare of Brahmins. Under his leadership, ABOPA is working towards its vision of fostering unity among Brahmins and promoting their social, educational and economic upliftment.

Today, we salute Captain V Lakshmikantha Rao - a brave soldier whose courage continues to inspire us all, even after so many years since he first took flight into battle skies above India to protect her citizens' freedom and liberty that we enjoy today. Thanks to the efforts of heroes like him, both past and present, our nation continues to thrive.

Ln. Potlapally Srinivasa Rao is a highly regarded and respected personality in the literary and social circles of Telangana. He is a retired Grade 1 Sub Registrar from the Registration Department. Born to Smt. Rukminidevi and Sri Dharaniswar Rao, Srinivasa Rao is married to Smt. Bhargavi, and is the father of a software engineer son, Abhiram, and a doctor daughter, Dr. Anusha. Both are married, Abhiram is married to Mounika who is also a software engineer, and Dr. Anusha is married to Dr. Kashi, a General Surgeon.

The first three publications namely "చైతన్య గులాబీలు" (1987), "మూడో కన్ను" (The Third Eye, 1997), and "నడిచి వచ్చిన దారి" (The Path That Walked, 2004), are greatly acknowleded in the literary world. His work, "The Third Eye", has been translated into English and Hindi and have been widely recognized for their meaningful and insightful poetry.

Srinivasa Rao has also made significant contributions to the literary world by introducing over 150 poets of Warangal through the series "కాళోజి స్ట్రీట్" in ఆంధ్రజ్యోతిలో, starting from the famous poet Pothana. He has direct and indirect affiliations with many literary organizations such as Telangana Writers Association, Kaloji Foundation, మిత్రమండలి, సృజన లోకం, and సాహితీ సమితి. Srinivasa Rao has also made significant contributions to the Telangana movement, inspired by praja kavi Kaloji and Dr Jayashankar. He was actively involved in the Telangana Writers' Forum, where he closely associated with Nandini Siddha Reddy, Deshapathi, and Juluri Gowri Shankar. He took up the Telangana Agitation to the roots of Telangana Gazetted Officers Association, Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association, and in the associations of the Registration Department. In recognition of his contributions, Srinivasa Rao was elected as the Governor of the 320F district of the Lines Club International Organization (2019-20) and District Multiple Council Secretary 320 (2020-21). He is also a member of the Governing Council of the Indian Red Cross Society Hanumakonda. Ln. Potlapally Srinivasa Rao's persona is of immense importance to ABOPA (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Old Pensioners Association) as he has dedicated his life to the literary world, Telangana Movement, and several social organizations. His contributions have been widely recognized and respected, making him a prominent figure in the community.

Dr. Manduva Narasimha Rao is an Assistant Registrar at Kakatiya University, where he brings a wealth of expertise in sociology.

He obtained his Ph.D in Sociology, and has authored numerous research articles in various journals. Dr. Rao has also been an active participant in several National Seminars.Prior to his role as Assistant Registrar,

Dr. Rao has worked as Personal Assistant/Stenographer to many Vice-Chancellors, including the late Dr. K. Jayashankar Sir, the then VC and Telangana ideologist.

He is actively involved in social organizations, and is a distinguished Lion Member of the prestigious Bheemaram Club. Dr. Rao has served in several positions within Lionism, including Secretary, President, and Zone Chairman. His dedicated service has earned him the recognition of the best Secretary, President, and Zone Chairman Awards.

Dr. Rao is a committed and compassionate individual who is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He has assisted over 200 individuals for various purposes, both within the University and through his involvement in social organizations.

30 సంవత్సరాల అనుభవం

* రాష్ట్ర విద్య శిక్షణ మండలి ( SCERT) పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలు 1,2, మరియు 6 వ తరగతి తెలుగు పద్య భాగం పూర్తిగా నేను స్వరపరచి గానం చేసిన పద్యాలు , కుమారశతక పద్యాలు పిల్లలకు తాత్పర్యాలతో శ్రవణానందం కలిగే విధంగా ఉన్నాయి.

* 2018 లో రాష్ట్ర ఉత్తమ ఉపాధ్యాయిని అవార్డ్ గ్రహీత

* మా తాత గారు పాములపర్తి సదాశివరావు గారి ప్రేరణ , నాన్న వి యల్ నరసింహా రావు గారి ప్రోత్సాహం తో , ప్రభుత్వ విద్యారణ్య సంగీత నృత్య కళాశాలలో కర్ణాటక గాత్రంలో శ్రీ కరికూర్మ నాధ్ గారి వద్ద శిక్షణ పొంది 1990 లో డిప్లొమా పూర్తి చేశాను.

1992 లో ప్రభుత్వ సంగీత ఉపధ్యాయిని గా విధుల్లో చేరిన నాటి నుండి నేటి వరకు వందలాది నంది విద్యార్థినిలను సంగీతం లో తీర్చిదిద్దాను. వారు చాలా వరకు సంగీత శిక్షకులుగా రాణిస్తున్నారు. కొందరు టి వి ఛానళ్లలో న్యూస్ ప్రజెంటర్స్ గా సేటిల్ అయ్యారు.

* 4సార్లు జాతీయస్థాయి

యన్ సి ఈ ఆర్ టి పోటీలకు విద్యార్ధిని లను తీసుకువెళ్లి ప్రశంసలు అందుకున్నారు. (ఢిల్లీ, రెండు పర్యాయాలు) మైసూరు, భోపాల్

పోటీలకు హాజరు

* 2004 లో గణతంత్ర దినోత్సవ పరేడ్ లో 160 మంది విద్యార్థుల తో ప్రదర్శన.

* జిల్లా, రాష్ట్ర, జాతీయ స్థాయిల్లో ప్రభుత్వపాఠశాల విద్యార్థిని లు పాల్గొనేలా తిర్చిదిద్దాను.

* నేను స్వరపరిచి గానం చేసిన వేణుగోపాల అష్టకం నల్గొండ జిల్లాలోని హుజూర్ నగర్ లోగల శ్రీ ఆదివరాహ వేణుగోపాల లక్ష్మీ నరసింహా స్వామి దేవాలయంలో ప్రతి ఉదయం సుప్రభాతం గా వాడుతున్నారు.

* నా విద్యార్థి దశలో REC లో నిర్వహించే spring spree 1988- 89 లో పాల్గొని మొదటి బహుమతి,

* 1990 లో south zone cultural festival Madras వారు నిర్వహించన ALL INDIA INTER CULTURAL (Carnatic vocal) పోటీల్లో పాల్గొని మొదటి బహుమతి సాధించడం జరిగింది.

* ప్రపంచ తెలుగు మహాసభల్లో పాల్గొని కచేరి ఇవ్వడం

* పలుమార్లు త్యాగరాజ ఆరాధనోత్సవాల్లో, అన్నమాచార్య జయంతి ఉత్సవాల్లో పాల్గొని కచేరీలు ఇవ్వడం జరిగింది.

శ్రీమతి వద్దిరాజు నివేదిత మాతామహులు పాములపర్తి సదాశివ రావు గారు ... తండ్రి వి.ఎల్. నరసింహా రావు గార్ల ప్రేరణ తో వరంగల్ విద్యారణ్య ప్రభుత్వ సంగీత కళాశాలలో చేరి, కర్ణాటక సంగీత గురువులు శ్రీ కరి కూర్మనాథ్ గారి శిష్యరికంలో డిప్లొమా పూర్తి చేశారు. విద్యార్ధి దశలో అనేక బహుమానాలు గెలుచుకున్నారు. మద్రాస్ లో జరిగిన దక్షిణ్ భారత సాంస్కృతిక ఉత్సవాలలో కర్ణాటక గాత్ర విభాగం లో ప్రథమంగా నిలిచారు. ఉత్తమ సంగీత ఉపాధ్యాయినిగా ప్రభుత్వ పురస్కారం స్వీకరించారు. చిలకలూరిపేట కళా నిలయం వారి గానకోకిల సర్టిఫికేట్ అందుకున్నారు. పలు ప్రముఖ వేదికలపై కచేరీలు ఇచ్చారు. ప్రభుత్వ సంగీత ఉపధ్యాయిని గా గత మూడు దశాబ్దాలలో వందలాది విద్యార్ధినులకు సంగీత శిక్షణనిచ్చారు. వారిలో చాలా మంది నేడుసంగీత శిక్షకులుగా రాణిస్తున్నారు. కొందరు పలు టి.వి ఛానళ్లలో న్యూస్ ప్రజెంటర్స్ గా ఆదరణ పొందుతున్నారు. జిల్లా స్థాయి, రాష్ట్ర స్థాయి పోటీలకే పరిమితం కాకుండా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా జరిగే అనేక జాతీయ సంగీత పోటీల కోసం విద్యార్ధులను బహుమతులు గెలుచుకునేలా తీర్చిదిద్ది పలువురి ప్రశంశలు పొందారు. 2004 జాతీయ గణతంత్ర దినోత్సవ వేడుకలలో 160 మంది విద్యార్థుల బృందంతో పాల్గొన్నారు. 2009లో వరంగల్ జిల్లాలో జరిగిన గణతంత్ర వేడుకలలో 300 మంది విద్యార్దినుల బృందంతో “మేరాభారత్ మహాన్’ ప్రదర్శింపచేసి ప్రశంశలు పొందారు. 2014 లో “మన బడి మన బాధ్యత” కార్యక్రమంకోసం...విద్యార్ధినులకు 14 ప్రాతీయ భాషా గీతాలను నేర్పించి .. ప్రదర్శింపచేసి సన్మానించబడ్డారు. ఇటీవల రాష్ట్ర విద్య శిక్షణ మండలి ( SCERT) వారి 1,2, మరియు 6 వ తరగతి తెలుగు పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలలోని పద్యాలు –తాత్పర్యసహితంగా స్వరపరచి విద్యార్ధుల హృదయాలకు హత్తుకునేలా గానం చేశారు.

తాను స్వరపరిచి గానం చేసిన “వేణుగోపాల అష్టకం” నల్గొండ జిల్లా - హుజూర్ నగర్ లోగల శ్రీ ఆదివరాహ వేణుగోపాల లక్ష్మీ నరసింహా స్వామి దేవాలయంలో సుప్రభాతంగా ప్రతి ఉదయం మంద్రంగా వినిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది.

Smt Vaddiraju Nivedita is a music educator with 30 years of experience.

Currently working at Prabhutva Practicing High School in Hanumakonda, she has helped students appreciate literature and achieve a sense of listening pleasure through poetry and musical compositions. In 2018, she was awarded the State Best Teacher Award. Inspired by her grandfather, Sri Sadashivarao Garu, and father, Sri Yal Narasimha Rao Garu, and trained in Karnatic music under Shri Karikooram Naidu Garu, she received a diploma in music education from the Government Music Teacher Training College in 1990 and later joined the government music faculty in 1992. Nivedita has completed Telugu poetry book audios for SCERT for grades 1, 2, and 6, and her musical compositions for children exhibit her dedication to teaching.
